Calling All Designers and Budding Designers…See your apron design published online and in print!

Here’s your chance to have your creativity recognized. We’re looking for the best and the brightest aprons to feature on the Apron-icity™ website and in other publications for quilters and sewers.

To enter your creations in the Apron-icity™ Apron Challenge

Each apron entry must include:

• Completed entry form (click here)
• Digital photo of the finished apron on a wearer or dress form (300 dpi, 8” x 10”)
• Signed photo release (click here) of any model used, allowing publication of her image
• Pattern pieces drawn to scale on graph paper with 4 squares to the inch and scanned at 300 dpi
• Brief directions including yardage for each fabric used, plus cutting and assembly steps. Rough or finished illustrations are also welcome although not required

IMPORTANT:
To facilitate the judging process and keep all entry materials together, please create a CD for each individual entry, including all of the required items listed above. Entries will not be returned. Incomplete entries will not be included in the judging. Clearly label each CD with:

• Your name and address
• Your e-mail address
• Your phone number
• The name of the apron
• The date

Judging Categories

A panel of industry experts will choose the “Winners” in each of the following categories:

• Best Overall…Most Original/Innovative Design
• Judge’s Choice (one from each judge)
• Best Theme (chef, garden, sewing, kiddy, etc.)
• Best Use of Fabric
• Best Use of Color
• Best Use of Embellishments
• Best Seasonal/Holiday (Christmas, Valentines, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, New Year’s, Mother’s Day, etc.)
• Man-style

Note: Judges reserve the right to determine the appropriate category, which may be different from the category you name when submitting your entry. Winners may not be named in all categories if entries do not merit.

In addition to publication:

All judging decisions are final. The winning designs will be announced and shown on the Apron-iCity™ website, beginning (date here) as well as in press releases to consumer sewing publications.

Note: The Fabric Shop Network may request the use of the actual apron for professional photography prior to online posting or publication. Aprons will be returned within 3 months of receipt.
